How do we love others?

Showing honor Romans 12:10

How do we process faith?

Asking…Believing in the Heart Mark 11:22-26

Confessing it to be true Hebrews 11:3

Acting as if it is true James 2

Why our words?

Our words create the world we live in James 3, Heb 11:3, 2 Peter 3:10

We are in the image of God, so our words become a reality James 3, Heb 11:3

Our actions follow our words, beliefs, attitudes, etc Prov 4:23

How can we have faith and not doubt?

Be fully persuaded Romans 4 (ex. Abraham)

Its okay to doubt in the head, not in the heart Matthew 21:21

Speak because you believe it, not trying to believe it Romans 4

Can we have faith and not walk in love?

No 1 Corinthians 13:2

Unforgiveness hinders our faith walk Mark 11:22-26

Faith works by love Galatians 5:6

Keep ourselves in God’s love Jude 21

If we refuse to love others, God cannot work on our behalf John 15:7

Is faith about getting what we want?

Yes and No John 15:7

God gives to those who ask Luke 11:10-13

We are to give our requests to him Phil 4:6

However, we are to be content Phil 4:11-13

God will give us according to his will, or his word 1 John 5:13, John 15:7

We are to use our faith to serve God and others, not self Phil 2

***God will not answer a prayer that is not done in faith in God’s love. If the motive is sinful and the request not lining up with God’s word and plan, he will not honor it.

Conclusion

Faith is not trying to get God to do anything. Faith is declaring that it is already done. Hebrews 11:1

Sure, we are to die to our self, but that is referring to the flesh and not the spirit Colossians 3

Faith is serving both God and others, regardless of the circumstances Romans 12:17-21

Faith considers God, not the circumstances 2 Cor 5:6-7

Faith is trusting God’s will over ours 1 John 5:13

Faith is choosing to walk in humility than pride and self-exaltation James 4:6-7
