  • Have fun with a game of go fish.Play a traditional version, or this funTens Go Fish version to help with math skills.

    Tens Go Fish

    • Use a standard deck of cards, removing all face cards and 10s.• Deal each player 5 cards.• The remaining cards should be face down in the middle of the playing area. This is the "Go Fish" pile.• Before beginning the game, look for pairs of cards in your hand that have a sum of 10.• Place all cards with a sum of 10 face up on the table in front of you for everyone to see.• Draw from the Go Fish pile to replace the cards so that you still have 5 cards in your hand.• To begin, players take turns asking each other for their desired card.

    ◦ Instead of seeking out pairs of cards, ask for cards that will help you create a set that adds to ten.◦ For example, if you have 2, 4, and 3 in your hands, you would ask for an Ace (value of one).

    • If you receive the card you wanted, and you have another set of that adds to ten, place the set on the table.• If you do not get hte card tha tyou asked for, the player must "go fish" and pick a new card from the deck.

    ◦ If the drawn card helps create a set that adds to 10, the player will place that set on the table.• If a player runs out of cards, they will draw 2 cards to continue playing• Play ends when all cards are used, or no more sets of ten can be created.
