Tersan Shipyard Inc. belongs to Tersan group of companies providing services in four maritime sectors, i) new ship building, ii) ship repair, docking & conversion, iii) ship owning & operation and iv) ship agency services. Relatively young group’s , especially the shipbuilding and repair divisions have become one of the leading players in Turkey as well asin Europe. Tersan’s sustained success that is achieved by its experienced human resources, modern facilities, customer support and reliability guided the company to gain unique and challenging big orders.
The enthusiasm and marine culture that Tersan’s founders shared encouraged the group to
region in 1998, with this move the group extended its portfolio into ship repair, maintenance, overhaul and ship docking.Success in repairing and docking of around 50 to 70 ships per yearbrought rapid development to Tersan Group into the new ship building sector very soon.
In 2001 Tersan Group established their new building yard in the same region of Tuzla /
delivered in 2002 which is followed by a number of challenging new building projects until 2008. However the limited space in Tuzla region and the capacities of the current yard no
ships and handy - max commercial vessels, consequently Tersan decided to invest in a new
access to / from Istanbul.
While the repair yard remained in Tuzla, Istanbul still active, Tersan’s ship building division
also repair activities has begun. Tersan’s new building & repair yard in Yalova is today, one of
investment, the development of the yard is going on continuously meeting upcomingtechnologies and projects. The yard is employing about 500 permanent personnel where the total number of workforce reaches up to 2000 depending on the workload of the projects.

The pipe workshop has 1.500 sqm closed area with a capacity up to 2.000 dia / day fabrication of steel,stainless and copper pipes for cargo, ballast, heating and hydraulic systems.
The workshop is capable of cold bending and high quality pipe fabrication with dedicated workers. Stainless steel and mild steel pipe works are manufactured.
Electrical maintenance works are performed by our own electricians, and services from reliable workshops for repairs and reconditioning of motors, alternators and converters. For electronic parts,we are in good cooperation with authorized services and reliable workshops.
