The US has the advantage of allowing the operator: real-time visualization of nerves and the needle all the way, appreciate the interaction between the two, show the distribution of the local anesthetic, and probably perform a better dosage. The course that will be taught is basic, theoretical, and practical. It is intended for anesthesiologists who have not had the opportunity to become familiar with ultrasound. The theoretical part is designed for professionals to acquire the basic knowledge and to identify anatomical structures involving the regional block. The practical part aims that anesthesiologists get familiar with ultrasound and readily identify the structures to block. For this we have human models where each participant has the opportunity to locate structures of interest for a successful regional block. Director Taller Anestesia Regional.

Ultrasound for Regional Anesthesia Course Ultrasound today has become such an important medical tool as the stethoscope. For many years it

was used only as a diagnostic tool, however today for many medical specialties it has become a tool for

interventional treatments.

In regional anesthesia, echography represents a technological breakthrough in the identification of

anatomical structures and to identify each one of the nerves. This has allowed the anesthetic

techniques, that we once learned, where neurostimulation and the paresthesias were part of the usual

technique is changed now exploring the nerves and surrounding structures using echography. Today it

is a reality in the developed world and it has begun to implement with great enthusiasm in some centers

worldwide.

The US has the advantage of allowing the operator: real-time visualization of nerves and the needle all

the way, appreciate the interaction between the two, show the distribution of the local anesthetic, and

probably perform a better dosage.

The course that will be taught is basic, theoretical, and practical. It is intended for anesthesiologists who

have not had the opportunity to become familiar with ultrasound.

The theoretical part is designed for professionals to acquire the basic knowledge and to identify

anatomical structures involving the regional block.

The practical part aims that anesthesiologists get familiar with ultrasound and readily identify the

structures to block. For this we have human models where each participant has the opportunity to locate

structures of interest for a successful regional block.

Director Taller Anestesia Regional.
