for the work Job work to Gear box commissioning related work at bucket wheel platform of

Stacker cum Reclaimer in Unit-6 coal handling plant at UKAI TPS

Earnest money deposit will be accepted only by cash or demand draft of any nationalize bank in

favor of GSECL payable on Bank of Baroda at Ukai Dam, Cheques are not accepted. The tenders

may be opened in the presence of contractor who wishes to remain present at the time of opening.

The undersigned reserves the right to reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason

thereof.

N.B:-1) Tender will be accepted only by RPAD. It is necessary to produce the experience, income

tax clearance & solvency certificates for the work carried out in past at the time

submitting of tender copy.

2) The tenderer should quote the DD/BG No on tender cover for payment of EMD.

3) The tender without payment of EMD & Tender fee will not be opened/considered.

Contractor has to submit his tender copy along with relevant documents in view of following points

of this special notes:-

1) Detail of similar job/jobs carried out during last 3 years along with documentary evidence.

2) Bank solvency certificates of about 20% value of the contract.

3) Details of skilled/semiskilled persons presently employed by the contractor for similar

contract going on elsewhere if any, having sufficient knowledge of similar job.

4) Copy of contractor’s registration with GSECL.

5) Detail of partnership deed in case it is a partnership firm.

6) Detail of performance certificate for satisfactory executed order from GSECL, Semi Govt

organization or reputed organization.

NOTICE

1) All the columns in schedule should be filled in ink.

2) Rates quoted include clearance certificate of site (prier to commencement of work and

after completion of work) in all respects & hold good for work under all condition, site

moisture weather etc.

3) The quantities given above are approximate.

4) Certain minor changes may be incorporated during construction and as a result there may be

increase or decrease in the above stated quantities. In such on event it should be noted

that contractor should not claim any thing extra. Those will be paid on the basis of actual

quantities executed.

5) The rates shall be quoted both in words & figures as per unit specified in the schedule-B

should there be any discrepancy between rate quoted in words & figure, rates quoted in

words shall prevail.

6) Further if there should be any discrepancy between rate and amount the rate will be

considered for awarding the contract.

Sub: - Job work to Gear box commissioning related work at bucket wheel platform of Stacker cum Reclaimer in Unit-6 coal handling plant at UKAI TPS Scope of work for item no-1

1. The Job involves receipt of material from main store/site store & shift the same at

working place by contractor/or staff & truck/tractor as per instruction of EIC.

2. The job work involves arrangement of all consumable required for the work. I.e.-Cutting

gas, welding rod, Hardware material etc relevant to job.

3. The job work involves fabrication of temporary structure {as per inst. of EIC} for work to

be carried out above ground level at an average Height of 05 meter approximately.

4. The job work involves cutting & removing of existing failed shrink disk from bucket wheel

solid shaft by gas cutting or cut rod welding process.

5. It is sole responsibility of contractor to keep close watch on cutting process so that

bucket wheel shaft damage can be avoided.

6. The Job work involves cleaning of complete shaft of bucket wheel by cleaner & remove

burrs from the shaft.

7. The job work involves opening of both side plumber block of bucket wheel solid shaft &

checking of bearing along with replacement of required grease.

8. The job work involves filling of machineble welding material {CGS-680} on bucket wheel

solid shaft by welding process.

9. It is sole responsibility of party to arrange sufficient labor force to rotate bucket wheel

manually during the welding process.

10. The job work involves preparing of tool post nearby bucket wheel solid shaft as per

requirement of machinist/turner for the machining process.

11. The job work involves arrange sufficient labor force to rotate bucket wheel manually

during the machining process without major break.

12. It is sole responsibility of party to continuously in touch with machinist & EIC & take

measurement of shaft for the required dimension of shaft.

13. It is sole responsibility of party to safe guard the material procured by them or issued to

them for work till completion of work & handing over same to GSECL.

14. The job involves crediting of excess material from the job work to main store/Site store.

15. The contractor will have to bring all the consumables like gas, welding rod, nut bolt etc at

his own cost.

16. The contractor has to credit the all type of welding rod in site store prior start of work.

[Qty-CGS/680--10 Kg, Cutrod--20 Kg & Gen purpose rod--10 Kg. respectively

].

17. The contractor has to credit welding from L&T/Bob-shell/Diffusion/D&H make in main

store prior to start of welding job.

18. The Workshop facility for drilling of holes etc. (for minor work only) will be provided by

the GSECL, FREE OF COST if available.

19. The welding machine & cable etc shall have to be arranged by the Contractor and GSECL

will not pay any Extra charges for the same.

20. Electrical connection & water connection shall be supplied, FREE OF COST by the GSECL

21. Hydra crane facility for the work shall be provided free of cost{if available}

22. No Extra charges will be paid by the GSECL for Loading, Unloading & carting of the

materials as rates are all inclusive.

23. For any dispute, the decision of the Chief Engineer shall be final and binding to the

contractor.

24. The work will have to be completed within Six Month; However contractor will have to

start the work immediately on getting intimation from GSECL.

25. Payment :-

• 100% job work cost shall be made on completion of work & satisfactory trial of gear

box after joint verification & as per GSECL terms and conditions.

26. VAT, other Govt. taxes etc will be born by the contractor.

27. The contractor has to observe all the safety rules for the safety of himself, his labors,

Plants etc.

28. Contractor has to submit the daily work progress report on his letter head to EIC & get

certified by them.

29. The contractor has to observe all the labor law/rules during the work.

Scope of work for item no-2

1. The Job involves receipt of material [gear box or spares etc.] from main store/site store

& shift the same at working place by contractor/or staff & truck/tractor as per

instruction of EIC.

2. The job work involves arrangement of all consumable required for the work. I.e.-Cutting

gas, welding rod, Hardware material etc relevant to job.

3. The job work involves fabrication of temporary structure {as per inst. of EIC} for work to

be carried out above ground level at an average Height of 05 meter approximately.

4. The job work involves servicing of complete gear box at tool room of coal handling plant &

replaces the necessary required spares as per instruction of service engineer of supplier.

5. It is sole responsibility of contractor to arrange visit of service engineer of supplier for

the said work. GSECL shall co-operate in the matter positively.

6. It is sole responsibility of contractor to arrange lodging/boarding & transportation of

service engineer.

7. The Job work involves cleaning of base frame of gear box at site

8. The Job work involves shifting of complete gear box from tool room to site safely &

installs the same at position approximately five meter heights.

9. The job work involves installation of hollow shaft in position, alignment of all parts of

bucket wheel shaft.

10. The job work involves fixing/installation of shrink disk in position.

11. It is sole responsibility of party to arrange sufficient labor force to rotate bucket wheel

manually {if required} during the installation/commissioning process of gear box..

12. It is sole responsibility of party to safe guard the material procured by them or issued to

them for work till completion of work & handing over same to GSECL.

13. The job involves crediting of excess material from the job work to main store/Site store.

Schedule-A

Sub: - Job work to Gear box commissioning related work at bucket wheel platform of Stacker cum

Terms & Conditions:-

1. The party has to arrange Consumable for the work along with Hardware item up to site.

2. All the loading/unloading/shifting of material & job work of commissioning along with testing

shall be supervised by party’s supervisor only.

3. As the power station is restricted area party has to approach to C.I.S.F section for

necessary permit/gate pass to staff.

4. The job work for commissioning, testing of the system shall be carried out in Ukai Dam

premises only.

5. No other taxes levies or octroi / duties shall be payable to the party.

6. Service Tax if any shall be paid extra as per GSECL rules.

7. The necessary tool/Tackles/ welding rod/Gas shall be arranged by party.

8. Payment shall be made only after commissioning, testing of the system at site/complete

erecting & certified by EIC as per GSECL standard payment terms.

9. The rates quoted shall be firm till completion of the work and valid up to three month from

the date of opening of tender.

10. The successful tenderer shall require executing the agreement as per GSECL rule before

commencement of work. The cost of the stamp paper shall be born by the party.

11. The time limit for the work is kept for Six (06) months from the date of written

instruction to commence work by GSECL.

12. The successful tenderer shall have to pay Security Deposit of 5 % of the order value within

10 Days by D.D or bank guarantee from the date of issue of work order/LOI in favor of

GSECL Payable at Bank of Baroda-Ukai branch/State bank of India –Ukai branch. The S.D

will be released after one month (30 Days) from the completion of work order.

13. The offer received without Tender fee & EMD will not be considered.

14. Chief Engineer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any

reason thereof.

15. The party shall have to follow all safety rules and compliances to appropriate authority on

default party shall be responsible.
