October 7, 2015- Email Scam Alert

The Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation (DETR) was informed that a Nevada applicant for Unemployment Insurance benefits received emails from Unemployment Assist info@unemployment-a ssist.com offering Auto Protection Plan and Scholarships.

This email is a scam. Please ignore it and do not click on the links as the website may be requesting personal identifying information and credit card information that is not used for Unemployment Insurance benefits in the State of Nevada. The Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation would never request personal identifying information using this method. Unemployment Insurance claims are filed directly through the Nevada Unemployment Insurance website or the Telephone Claim Center and not through any third party services. Nevada JobConnect also does not send emails through third party services.
