UH held it’s annual Commuter Fair and invited METRO to promote awareness of public transportation and facilitate
processing student Q Cards on campus.
Emily Mesa is UH’s Green Commuter Doctor. She used her
laptop and logged on to www.ridemetro.org to answer
student’s questions on METRO’s routes and schedules. She also used UH / METRO route maps to help students learn how to get
around on METRO.

The UH Breeze Way and Satellite locations were strategically
selected to capture majority of student traffic.

Students filled out a registration form where UH volunteers verified their full time enrollment status.

METRO’s Q Card Team checked each registration form and then directed the students to the
next step, which was to get their picture taken.

Students got their picture taken as required for all University Q Cards.

Students then had their data entered into METRO’ssystem for the final step of the process.

After registering for their Student Q Card, UH students pledged to GO Green and received free promotional gifts
courtesy of UH and METRO.

UH student volunteers helped by spreading the word and informing students of the benefits the METRO student Q Card offers.
