Treat boysand girls thesame way
Think about your sister, girls in your class andcommunity. What leadership positions do they
hold? What about boys: Do you think they are suitedfor those positions? Why? What do you think wouldhappen if those positions were to be exchanged?
All these questions help us tocheck ourselves on how welook at boys and girls andtheir roles in society.
There are natural differencesbetween boys and girlsbecause they are born withdifferent biological roles suchas girls ability to bearchildren.

the Interactive-Regular- Drama (Little MagnetTheatre). Ask yourScouts leader about it.
The 1977 Constitution of theWorld Organisation ofScouting Movement urgesNational Associations toencourage girls to joinScouting. KSA is not left out.
Many girls have joinedScouting although we do not
know how many they are.But we have carried out acensus and the results willbe out soon.
We are happy that manyparents are allowing theirdaughters to join Scouting. Ialso urge each scouts unit tohave parents on theircommittee. This will helpthem appreciate Scoutingmore.
Through Scouting girls andboys learn leadership skills,lifeskills and other usefulthings.
Scouting for Solutions (SfS)activities help young peoplemake healthy choices.
There are no activities forboys or for girls in Scoutingas believed in some patrols.Girls and boys can competewell. For example, the 2005Zonal competitionschampions are girls fromKitale Academy.
Scouting is for both girlsand boys. I encourage moregirls and boys to joinScouting.
