Initial findings

• 1A: Concentration and distribution of aid– N.B. This is mock-up of PEAP engagement – But, numbers of instruments as best proxy– Clear clustering related to PEAP

• 1B: DP characteristics– Nothing unimportant higher standards for leading DP – Leading DP particular emphasis on:

• Dialogue skills and credibility; in-country sectoral and aid modality expertise

– Actively engaged DPs: • HQ support, policy alignment & credibility with other

DPs

Initial findings

• 1C: Sectoral patterns and engagement– figures do not look reliable past 2007-08

(predictability?)– Notable short-term patterns emerging:

• Major aid ↑ in roads/energy

• ↑ in public admin and in security/conflict

• ↓ in GBS

• education and esp health ongoing high levels
