Moving Space _UG1 Design Studio

This project is about moving space. Besides attaching movement to space, I am mainly studying the relation between negative space and positive space and I try to create ambiguity in my work about the two spaces. Addionally, I made usually invisible negative space and its movement visible through my experiment. At last the negative space is extracted and throughly revealed when making the formwork for plaster.

The project starts with choosing a moment from a painting then translate that moment to a layer model.

After experiments of making physical and computer models,I found the prototype which can best convey my concept.

Before making the formwork, I need to figure out the form of my negative space.
