Course Information
Courses are taught by UF, USF, and FUA Faculty UF GPA credit will be granted for courses taken with UF faculty.
Transfer credit will be issued for classes taught by USF instructors and the host institution in Italy.
Required Course: ITA: Italian Language, All Levels

About the Program This program is offered in partnership with the Florence University of the Arts (FUA)
and the University of South Florida (USF). You can earn up to 7
credits in Italian language, Italian culture, social science, and misc humanities in
classes taught by UF, USF and FUA faculty.
About the Location Florence, Italy was the hub of medieval European trade and finance, and the birthplace of the Renaissance. The
historic center showcases the vestiges of its power and wealth with spectacular palaces,
churches, public buildings, city squares, gardens, monasteries, museums, and art
galleries.
Excursions Excursions include a two-day trip to
Venice, a three-day trip to Rome, and endless opportunities for weekend breaks
to explore the Tuscan countryside.
HousingYou will share a bedroom with other students in a furnished apartment.
Apartments include kitchens complete with cooking supplies, plates, glasses, and
utensils. You must bring one twin-sized sheet set and a towel.

2014 Pricing 2014 Undergraduate Program
Fee: TBA
A $300 nonrefundable deposit toward the total cost of the
program is due at the time of application. The remaining
fees are due no later than 45 days prior to departure.
If you receive financial aid, you can defer payment until it
disburses. Deferment decision will be based on the amount of aid to be received.
What’s Included: Tuition for 6 or 7 credits, housing, museum pass,
excursions to Venice and Rome, arrival and farewell party, international health insurance, and medical emergency assistance
What’s Not Included: round-trip airfare, additional
personal travel, and personal expenses.
Financial Aid
Most financial aid that you would receive on campus during the summer can be
applied toward the cost of this study abroad program.
UFIC recommends that you speak with your financial aid advisor about your financial

ScholarshipsUFIC offers summer
scholarships for qualified students. This year’s summer
