Book Barn • 7:30-8:00pm the 1st Tuesday of every month• We need 2-3 people to read to the kids• Talk to Kaitlyn Shober about signing up• Program Dates:

Appaloosa Tack Swap
• Saturday February 16th – Set up, help venders, 12 big rigs• 3pm – 9pm• (Cannot begin set up in old area until 6pm)
• Sunday February 17th – Set up, Help out during the actual tack swap (entry fees, booth), tear down, we also have a bake sale running• 7am – 5pm• We still need people especially for afternoon and
cleanup
National Ag Day
• Day to recognize and celebrate the contributions of agriculture, started in 1973.• Tuesday, March 19th
• In the atrium of the AMU 12pm-3pm• Need people:• Make posters• Hand out cow tails with fun facts
Horse Club Barn Dance
• Tuesday, March 19th • 7-10pm in the AMU
• In the past Horse Club used to do this event with Stock Horse Team but now Stock Horse is considered a sports team and no longer receives money from SGA.

Upcycling Event March 25th• Time: 3-6pm Monday, March 35th• The Restore in Findlay is donating basic components for 10 groups to
compete in an upcycling contest. • Will get the materials two weeks in advance and must have project
completed by March 25th
• The finished projects will be judged at the event by students• The projects will be donated back to the ReStore to benefit the
Findlay chapter of Habitat for Humanity. • Will be a on campus event held on Cory St Mall• Ice Cream Sundae Bar• Prizes• Activites
National B&B Convention
Hosted by Iowa State University• Thursday April 4th- Saturday April 6th • All forms and money have been submitted• We have 8 members attending this year
Blast Into Summer ‘13• Location: Cory St. Mall• Date: Thursday April 25, 2013• Time: 5:00pm-7:00pm• Food: Burgers, hotdogs, fruit tray• Drink: punch, lemonade, water• Giveaway: coozies, t-shirts
National BB Scholarships Encourage all juniors and seniors to apply:
- 1 applicant / institution / level - due March 21st to the club advisor
- follow national application except no transcript attached, just GPA (advisor can confirm w/ registrar)
- standing committee selects the winning applicants- notify all applicants by April 30 of each calendar year- applicants submit applications to national office by June 1 each calendar year- Selection committee:
1) 1 club faculty advisor2) 1 officer (can not be submitting application)3) 1 club member who is not an officer and not applying
March 21st Meeting
• Will be held at the Animal Science Barn at 7:30pm• Have our own little AgOlymics after our meeting,
similar to the trivia game we played last week after our meeting.• Will be a food meeting• Dietch’s IceCream!
• Nominations at this meeting• National scholarships due at this meeting
BB Elections • Last meeting in March will be nominations and the first
meeting in April will be elections
• Begin thinking about if you want to be an officer or committee head next year.
• We had 3 seniors in officer or committee head positions who will be graduating this May
• Our constitution details what each position’s duties are. If you have any questions our officers would be glad to answer them.
