Uber StoryOn a snowy Paris evening in 2008, Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp had trouble hailing a cab. So they came up with a simple ideatap a button, get a ride.

What started as an app to request premium black cars in a few metropolitan areas is now changing the logistical fabric of cities around the world. Whether its a ride, a sandwich, or a package, we use technology to give people what they want, when they want it.

For the women and men who drive with Uber, our app represents a flexible new way to earn money. For cities, we help strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation, and make streets safer. When you make transportation as reliable as running water, everyone benefits. Especially when its snowing outside.

Stricter background checks and DUI rules coming for Uber and Lyft drivers through laws signed by Gov. Brown

http://www.latimes.com/politics/essential/la-pol-sac-essential-politics-updates-stricter-background-checks-and-dui-1475098097-htmlstory.htmlUber, Lyft and other drivers for ride-hailing companies will face greater restrictions under new legislation signed Wednesday by Gov. Jerry Brown.Drivers will be subject to stricter background checks and face tighter rules on driving under the influence through legislation authored by Assemblymen Jim Cooper (D-Elk Grove) andKatcho Achadjian(R-San Luis Obispo).Under one law,ride-hailing companies no longer can hire driverswho are registered sex offenders, have been convicted of violent felonies or, within the last seven years, have a driving-under-the-influence conviction. The companies will face fines of up to $5,000 for violating the rules. The second law prohibits drivers from having a blood-alcohol level of 0.04 or higher compared to the current level of 0.08 for non-commercial drivers.Brown alsosigned legislation from AssemblymanMike Gatto(D-Glendale) making it easier for potential drivers to work for the companies. The new law allows potential driversto rent cars to work for Uber, Lyft and the other companies. That effort, which has been part of expansion plans for Uber and Lyft, is currently allowed, but the industrys regulator, the California Public Utilities Commission, wasweighing whether to limit it. The new law ensures the rental practices will continue.Brown also vetoed a billfrom Assemblyman Evan Low (D-Campbell)to create a statewide taxi commissionin an effort to level regulations between taxis and the looser rules surrounding ride-hailing companies. In a veto message, Brown said the state shouldn't shoulder the responsibility of regulating the taxi industry.I do not believe that such a massive change is justified, Brown wrote.

Greater Restrictions for Drivers!Equals greater risk and Liability for uber drivers and Uber technoligies!Makes riders feel safer about uber drivers being sober!Legally gives the police the right to treat uber drivers different than a normal driving citizen. Definitely shouldnt let sex offenders drive for uber Duhhh!Allows drivers to rent cars to work for uber so as long as you got a valid license insurance and money you can work! How will the new restrictions affect drivers and riders and uber in whole? according to judge brown he doesnt think there will be any difference!

Uber Facing government officials! There have been multiple laws passed regarding the use of uber technologies. The recent laws created are to enforce a higher standard for customers and for drivers.Uber as a corporation have to deal with potential more lawsuits if they have any current sex offenders driving or hire one or have any get pulled over drinking alcohol. Drivers facing higher penalties and fines if caught or stopped picking up people from the airport.

According to Kristen V. Brown from Fusion.net on 6-16-16Uber is being sued by so many people right now that it can be hard to keep track. Last year, 50 lawsuits were filed against Silicon Valleys favorite start-up in U.S. federal court aloneand since then, still more suits have been filed, while others have settled.http://fusion.net/story/315350/uber-class-action-lawsuit-settlement/

UBER SMART CARhttps://youtu.be/M5lKbdVa95k

UBER MAJOR ISSUES!Facing the most lawsuits in history of start up businesses uber looks to make a change!!Using a smart car could put a ton of drivers out of work!!In the video talks about how if people start using smart cars the percentage of people who buy cars could go down 50%!!!What if a smart car gets into an accident? Will people be comfortable riding in a computer car? With all the profit uber would make from cutting off drivers and making rides cheaper how would this affect the economy?

Uber resolutions!Using smart car to cut down on driver rider related instances equaling less lawsuits.Change the entire marketing strategy of the uber technologies.Using smart car allows uber to save money and make more profit.Corners the market with the innovative approach to what will no longer be called ride sharing.Cutting down on harmful gases with the use of all hybrid smart cars!
