produce cutting edge items to keep pace with the evolution of mixology and drinking culture. Whilst at the same time we are striving to bring the skills of the past back into the future.

We don’t release an item if we are not entirely confident in its design, functionality, quality and proud enough to allow it to carry our name.

Any items carrying this mark denote that they provide a legal measure for the respective capacity of the item. For example, spirits legally have to be measured in particular capacities, these items provide the legal requirement.

Urban Bar has offset more than 400 Tonnes of CO2e, contributing to the Portel-Pará Reduced Deforestation (REDD) Project in Brazil.

This project works to prevent deforestation in the Amazon rain forest helping maintain the natural habitats of numerous endangered species. The REDD Project covers an area of rain forest 177,899.5 Hectares in size, home to an abundance of diverse species important to the maintenance of various tree species throughout the rain forest.

The project aims to avoid over 22 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) greenhouse gas emissions over a 40 year period.

The ultimate in kit bags, hand made from premium brown cow hide, it has a strong handle and removable, adjustable shoulder strap. The interior has a large internal zip pocket and a smaller pocket for a phone as well as seven compartments. The compartments have Velcro on the walls enabling them to be adjusted to fit different sized items. The large compart-ment can either take the matching bartender roll and/or two to three spirits bottles. The base is padded and underneath has 6 metal feet. We recommend some leather food to help with the upkeep of the leather.

Made from premium brown cow hide, padded and lined in ballistic nylon. With a variety of elasticated loops (sixteen) and three adjustable Velcro straps, it can accommodate virtually any tool. There are two padded fl aps to fold in and then roll; tying up with two leather straps.

The 1890 range of glassware is characterised by a delicate etched pattern, evoking Victorian and Edwardian design. The intricate decoration is inspired by Edwardian style floral swag design, making these glasses perfect for retro venues.

Made from premium lead-free crystal, the 1890 glassware features a high level of clarity that allows the drink inside to catch the light for best display.

The unique 1920 glassware pattern emulates the pattern of bubbles in a sparkling drink. A series of round bubble shapes are preceeded by vertical movement lines that lead up to a band of small expolsions and waves. Each piece is made from lead-free

crystal, which has a premium transparency, allowing the delicately etched pattern to sparkle in the light. The 1920 glassware looks as stunning on the shelf as it will with your drinks served inside.

We work alongside many of the world’s leading drinks companies to develop their bespoke glass and barware, this is the main aspect of our business.

We can offer this service in glass, steel and plastic from as few as 500pcs of handmade glass and 20,000 machine made.


CARE

Our stainless steel items are all made from the more premium of the two steel types used in the catering industry (18/8) and as such needs no care guidance and can take everything a normal bar can

throw at them.

CARING FOR STEEL

Whilst all our plastics are dishwasher safe and virtually unbreakable, they should not be used with boiling water. If handwashing, do not use abrasive cloths.

CARING FOR PL AST IC

All Urban Bar glassware is dishwasher safe, however care and attention is always recommended when handling and cleaning our glasses to increase their lifespan.

CARING FOR GL ASS

Mechanical shock refers to a physical impact on a glass, usually from another glass, or piece of tableware. All glasses have a certain resistance to mechanical shock, however repeated impacts will reduce the

strength of any glassware item.

MECHANICAL SHOCK

Sudden changes in temperature on a glassware item is known as Thermal Shock. Due to dense nature of glass, fast expansion and retraction of the material when exposed to heat or cold can weaken the overall

structure of the item. All glassware has a certain level of thermal shock resistance, however repeated exposure to sudden temperature changes can lead to glassware breakages.

THERMAL SHOCK

Follow these simple guidelines to help increase the lifespan of your glassware.

GUIDELINES

• Hand wash Urban Bar glasses individually, and do not soak them with other glasses• Avoid the rims of martini glasses coming into contact with other glasses• Never scoop ice with a glass or stack them, unless they have been designed for stacking• When pouring hot drinks, always preheat the glass with hot water• Conversely, never put cold water or ice into warm or hot glasses

• Hand wash only and no abrasive scrubbing• We do not recommend metal polishes as these will slowly remove the coating and could leave a

residue affecting the taste of drinks made with the tools.

CARING FOR PL ATED STEELThese need a bit more looking after than your regular steel. While the plating is secure on the steel item,

it is a coating, so could be scratched off if not looked after properly.

CARING FOR BARRELSOak ageing barrels are a long-term investment. Designed to age spirits and cocktails for months at a

time, our barrels are expected to last up to 10 years if treated correctly.

• Always cure your barrel before first use• Never let your barrel dry out - a dry barrel can be permanently damaged• Use separate barrels for different spirits - after a barrel has been used, the wood will have taken on

some of the flavours and characteristics of the contents• Store your barrel in a cool, damp environment to minimise evaporation• Inbetween use, keep the barrel filled with storage solution to prevent it from drying out
