Summary & Moving Forward • 2017 = 1st full year of Part 107 regulations/operations. • Industry landscape changing rapidly. • New capabilities (UTM technologies, sensor improvements, etc.) and new concerns (cyber-security) are frequent. • MSU UAS capabilities continually expanding. • 2017 further established MSU’s role as a national leader in UAS research, development, testing, and evaluation. • MSU flight operations already ongoing in 2018.
