Start Checking your UAH email

Get Started uah.edu! You can access your email from the “Current Students” tab off of www.uah.edu or simply go to www.gmail.com • Username. Your Username is your entire

UAH email. For example: [email protected]

• Password. Use your defaulted password or the password established for you at Orientation.

Forgot your username or password? You can go to http://apps.uah.edu/ITSPortal/ Please note you will need your Banner Student Account log-in information to retrieve email information.

Helpful Tips: Have a personal email you would rather use?

Remember all official UAH communication will come via your UAH email account. However, having your UAH forwarded to your personal email address is easy. On the right hand corner of Gmail there is a gear icon. Click “Forwarding” and select “Add a Forwarding Address.”

Stay connected. If you have a smart phone

you can add your @uah.edu account as a Gmail account. This is a great way to get emails straight to your phone.

Make sure to check-out Gmail’s Calendar

feature to help stay organized this academic year. You can create multiple calendars and even share them with friends & family.

Finalize Financial-Aid & Student Bill

Pay Student Tuition Bill The University’s Bursar Office will generate bills after your successful enrollment prior to the start of classes. A message will be sent to your @uah.edu email address notifying you that your bill is available on the Banner Student Account at register.uah.edu. Look for this notification in early August 2013. All fees will be due by 5:00 p.m. on the first official day of the term. All accounts not paid in full by the deadline will be assessed a $50.00 late fee. Tuition may be charged to VISA, Master Card, American Express & Discover or by cash or personal check. UAHuntsville also offers payment plans. Please visit the Bursar website at bursar.uah.edu or call 256.824.2732.

Still have questions on how to finalize your financial-aid & scholarships? The Office of Student Financial Services located in the University Center, Room 212, provides information and services to help finance the cost of education at UAHuntsville. Available financial assistance opportunities include grants, loans, scholarships, work-study employment and veteran’s education assistance programs. The staff is dedicated in ensuring that families receive the maximum financial assistance available by providing access to resources and information related to financing the costs of education. The office is open Monday-Friday, 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Visit financialaid.uah.edu for more information.

Get Ready to Play & Have Fun! Now that you are a part of the Charger Nation it is time to prepare for a lot of fun! Two notable parts of Student Life at UAH include our Student Activities & our Charger Recreation. Whether it’s participating in competitive sports or going on a trip we have it all!

Release Forms

Release forms are required before you register for recreational trips or sports sponsored by UAH. In Alabama, the notarized signature of your parent or legal guardian is needed on your liability release form until you are 19 years of age. To become eligible for early registration in fall semester activities with limited available space, we recommend that you complete & mail in your liability release form during the summer as soon as possible. To access the form, visit www.imleagues.com/UAH click on the “Info” tab to the left and then on the “Handbooks and Manuals” link. Please email [email protected] or call (256) UAH-PLAY (824-7529) for assistance.
