A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR NENSHI

On behalf of the citizens of Calgary and my City Council colleagues I am pleased to welcome you to the

Ringette Alberta 2018 U19B Provincial Championship.

During this tournament, the top 8 teams in the province of Alberta, who have earned their spot in the

tournament through playoffs, will compete for the final medal round. All of the athletes here have

worked very hard to get to this point, and I am sure that the quality of competition will reflect their

dedication to this exciting sport.

Bow View Ringette must be acknowledged for their role in organizing this tournament. It takes a lot of

volunteer hours to put these events together, and they deserve our appreciation. Of course, none of

this would be possible without the many volunteers, coaches, officials, family and friends who have

supported these athletes throughout the year. I wish you all the best of luck for a successful

tournament!
