Type 1 (JD) vs. Type 2

• Type 1:

• Pancreas stops making insulin

• Can’t get it from eating too much sugar

• Doctors still working to find out the cause

• Diabetes is not contagious

• Type 2:

• Pancreas still makes insulin

• There are many different causes

• Sometimes, Type 2 can be prevented through exercise and healthy eating
