• Getting a sunburn can put you at risk of getting skin cancer. The best way to protect your skin when going to the beach is to put on sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher when you arrive, and then reapply every 4 hours.

• If one or both of your parents have or had cancer, it is not a guarantee that you will have it too.

• Evidence suggests that approximately 1/3 of the cancer deaths that occur in the United States each year are due to poor nutrition and lack of physical activity.
