 The institute has organized one day state level seminar on “Opportunities and Challenges of

Startups in Maharashtra” under Quality Improvement Program (QIP) of Savitribai Phule Pune

University on 24th February 2018 with a grant of Rs.60, 000/-.

  Participants for the Seminar:

Academicians/Research Scholars from various educational institutes, industries as well as

students from other management institutes were invited to attend the seminar.

Total Number of Attendants- 30--Faculty

155–Students

Registration fees for Academicians/Research Scholars was kept minimal i.e. Rs.350/- .

Seminar was organized free of cost for the students. Seminar Kit was provided to all

 participants which included Seminar Folder, notepad, pen, schedule, seminar

brochure.Breakfast, tea lunch was offered to all the participants.

Outcome of Seminar:

1) The seminar helped faculty and students to get insights into understanding nature,

prerequisite, challenges, opportunities and risks involved in establishing Entrepreneurial

Ventures.

2) MoU was signed between Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED)

and JSIMR.

 Introduction:

When new students enter an institution, they come with diverse thoughts, backgrounds and

preparations. It is important to help them adjust to the new environment and inculcate in them the

ethos of the institution. With same line of thought the Induction program titled Pravesh 2017 was

organized by JSIMR,Hadapsar,Pune. Its purpose is to make the students feel comfortable in their

new environment, open them up, set a healthy daily routine, create bonding in the batch as well as

between faculty and students, develop awareness, sensitivity and understanding of the self, people

around them, society at large, and nature

IQAC has revamped the nature of induction program at JSIMR by changing duration of induction

program from 1 day to 1 week. Pravesh 2017was amalgamation of many activities such as lecture

by eminent speakers, physical activity, visit to local area and historic places.

Objectives:

To make students understand nature and importance of MBA programme, syllabus and paper

pattern to the students.

To make students aware of vision,mission and objectives of the institute

To make students aware of code of conduct of the institute

To make the new batch of students equipped with the culture and ethics of JSPM.

To showcase the culture and historical places of pune by organizing Pune Darshan Visit
