In the old days, a voicemail or a letter to the editor might be the only way to communicate with a newspaper, magazine or broadcast outlet. Now, however, average citizens can – and do – engage with local and national news organizations. As a matter of fact, many news organizations now routinely use it to reach out to the public for ideas, information and examples. I made this presentation at SoCon 11.TRANSCRIPT
