General Descriptions What is twitter?
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets.
Founder of Twitter Twitter was Developed by Jack Dorsey on March 21st 2006
What can we do? Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the
author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers.
Senders can restrict delivery to those people in their circle of friends or, by default, allow open access. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications.
Simple, quick and frequent (vs. blogs)

General Descriptions Tweet
Twitter posts or updates is known as a tweet. Some people refer to them as “twits”, but the official term is “tweet.” Each tweet is not longer than 140 characters.
Following While Facebook requires that all relationships be reciprocal, Twitter allows
for one-way relationships. If i find Twitter users who are interesting, i can "follow them" to subscribe to their tweets. They do not necessarily have to follow me back, though the more social users will want to follow me back
Timeline The “timeline” page is the homepage which displays tweets from all the
people I am following. Direct Messages
Links to my Inbox/Sent messages (140 characters or less) that are privately sent to and from me.

General Descriptions @replies
Use an at sign (@) in front of a Twitter username to reply to someone, to refer to them, or direct a new message to somebody.
e.g., @jimalsadik Retweeting (RT)
Retweeting is the act of sharing someone else’s tweet with my followers – spreading the word wider. To identify a retweet, the Twitter convention is to put RT at the start of the retweet and to include the Twitter username of the person I am retweeting like attributing a quote.
e.g., RT @khanshaheb It was awesome.Hashtags (#)
Use the hash sign (#) as part of a “hashtag” to organize and categorize my information.

How to Start Twitter?1. Open any web browser2. Click on the web address panel & Type
http://twitter.com/3. Press or hit Enter4. Twitter Home will appear in a few second

Sign in & Sign Up In the home or
welcome page of Twitter , there is two option to go through it ; Log in/Sign In & Sign Up.
For previously signed user needs to log in/sign in to go through it. Other all new users needs to Sign Up to continue .

Search People on Twitter
We can search people on Twitter by using Twitter’s default search option .
Top right corner, there is a search box beside tweet & settings button.
From this search panel , we can search for people we know or want to find someone else.

Follow People On Twitter
We can Follow people on Twitter to get their updates and activity.
We can follow anyone , not only our friends or family.
We can follow public figures or celebrities to stay connected with them.

Tweet

Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers.
After login to twitter , we can tweet anything not longer than 140 characters by clicking on Tweet button or Tweet logo on top both side of twitter timeline and also from twitter profile .

Account Settings & Privacy We can change our twitter profile
settings from profile & settings menu. We can change password, email
address, Mobile numbers, notification settings & other all settings from here.
We can change all types of privacy settings ( tweet privacy, photo privacy, sharing audience) from here.
From account settings , we can easily activate or deactivate our twitter profile from anywhere , anytime.
