Ans: TwinMOS iRadioLive is a USB platform when you plug iRDL dongle into the USB port and it

g. Q. What is Kbps?
Ans: Kbps means numbers of kilobytes which transferred per second. The bigger the number it
shows the more data it transfers in one second. It means that acoustics will be better but also
takes more bandwidth and more time to wait. If you have lower bandwidth, its better try to listen
with lower Kbps otherwise it may cause some problem to listen the music. When it shows “--“, it
means we don’t have the information so far.

Ans: To play iRDL fluently and most of the music station, approximately 99% Internet Radio

b. Q. Why iRDL can’t play all the radio stations after starting the program?
Ans: If the program started properly but can’t play the radio station, then try to do like bellow-
(1) Please make sure that computer has been connected to internet first.
(2) Please go to [Control Panel] → [Internet Explorer] → [Tools] → [Internet options] → [Security]
→ [Custom level] →[Download signed ActiveX controls] → Enable
c. Q. Why there is some broken or no sound for some station?
Ans: iRDL is a platform which provides the service of internet radio to let users connect to the
radio stations to get the streaming signals. Therefore, [Broken sound] might happen when
bandwidth is insufficient or internetworking is congested. In this case, we suggest you choosing
the stations with lower bit-rate (kbps). [Noise] could be caused by unstable quality provided by
the internet radio station.
d. Q. Why can’t some radio stations be played on iRDL?
Ans: Internet radio stations are usually nonprofit and low capital so they may take break
sometimes or the bandwidth they provide is insufficient for too many people to connect in the
same time. No need of numerous equipments is the characteristic of internet radio station so that
the stations won’t need to invest a lot of money. Therefore most of them are nothing more than
hosted by home office or students. So the connecting problem may occur sometimes. In order to
avoid this problem, we also check the stations regularly to try to shift those suspended station
out from the database. Some ports might be blocked by the firewall also.
e. Q. Which one is the best sound quality station?
Ans: Sound quality depends on the bit rate. So, the higher bit rate station will give you the best
quality eg. 192Kbps is much better than 64Kbps even 128Kbps. If you have high speed internet
try with higher bit rate station.
f. Q. Can I Listen music if I unplug the iRDL?
Ans: The program will be shut down automatically after unplugging iRDL Dongle, so you won’t be
able to listen to internet radio any more. If you unplug iRDL Dongle incautiously when listening,
please plug the dongle again and select the History list to get the information of the stations
which was just listened. Click on the station directly to play. And one thing more, if you try to
copy the contents of the iRDL, it will never work without the iRDL.
4. Radio Station Issue:
a. Q. Why some of the station disappears suddenly?
Ans: If the station provider stops broadcasting for permanent or for a short time it will show
disappear. To ensure all stations we provided are connectable, we will keep detecting all stations’
connection status. Once a connection failed station was detected, we will remove it from all
station lists, which includes My Favorites and recommended station lists.
