Twilight Quilters’ Guild of Norfolk County Newsletter Meeting: May 11, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. CANCELLED PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: Quilters and sewers have been make making headlines in the news these days!! It inspires and amazes me how quilters are so quick to respond to a need in our community and willing to help. Special thanks to Diane Luke, Jan Grincevicius Nancy Racz , Melanie Douglas, Karen Johnstone and all who helped with the organizing, And all of the many sewers who helped to make our front line workers safe, by sewing face masks and PPE, Thank you. Most days I am enjoying the quiet and solitude that is our new normal, other days, I want to get out for lunch with a friend, go shopping, etc. It is all good, we just need to remember that this too shall pass. Take this time to do all those things at home that have been waiting until you had more time. Personally, I am tackling my huge list of UFOs and trying not to start any new projects. Each time I finish a project it makes me happy. Enjoy the show and tell pictures. Hope to see you all soon! Terry Anderson President 2019-2021 PROGRAM – Melanie Douglas, Karen Johnstone, Vicki Harris, Maggie McEntee COVID QUILT CHALLENGE The Program Committee is issuing a challenge. In these times of uncertainty, we challenge you to create a quilt that reflects how you are feeling. Is it Confused? Anxious? Hopeful? Zen? All emotions are valid and welcomed. We will have a Show and Tell in the future. It may be in per- son or as photos to add to the newsletter. We would love you to tell the story of how you chose your quilt pattern and colours. There could be prizes for the best one!!! Adding to this, use the FQs you were given in your goodie bag at last November’s retreat. We hope as many as possible will rise to the oc- casion and give the guild a story we won’t forget in these unusual times.

MEMORY QUILT MAKER NEEDED Do you make memory quilts? An inquiry came up on our Facebook feed from a gal in Lyndoch who would like to have 2 memory quilts made for her children from their father’s shirts. Both T-shirts and woven cotton ones. Could be combined or one from each type of material. Please contact Stephanie Sinden if you are interested in connecting with her.
