St. Patrick Applauds! Thank you to the six young people who said “yes” to the invitation to be an Altar Server at St. Patrick Church! We were so happy to commission them at the 9:30 am Mass last Sunday. Thank you to Hudson Clews, Quincy Clews, Riley Davis, Karlee Kalovcak, Brandon Schwartz, and Miranda Seiger! These children know that it is a great and awesome opportunity for them to be in a ministry with their friends, and they know that altar servers are respected, as they should be! Through this ministry, they will develop a better understanding and respect for the Holy Mass because of their privileged place on the altar. We are so proud of all of them! We ask you all to pray to the Patron Saint of Altar Servers, St. John Berchmans, for all of our servers, new and seasoned, that they will always wear their surplice and alb, and cassock with joy and honor, for it is part of the armor they will wear in the service of our Lord, Jesus Christ!!

Thank you to Deacon Jack Quirk for training our servers! Deacon Jack did a wonderful job of preparing our servers to serve at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, assist at Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament, and take an active part in other Church functions.

*************************************************** Notice something different about our bulletin? You guessed it!!! Our bulletin is now in color!! Isn’t it beautiful to see how color can make our bulletin POP! It looks like someone took their box of crayons and started coloring. Remember when the Wizard of Oz movie went from black and white to Amazing Technicolor? It was so eye catching! Now we can say the same thing about our bulletin! Follow the yellow brick road! Follow, Follow, Follow, Follow, Follow the yellow brick road….to St. Patrick Church!

St. Patrick Applauds! Thank you to our LORICA teens who came out on a weeknight to wash a car! Why? Because they made a deal! Anyone who registered for our Parish software program called “My Own Church” was entered into a drawing. Congratulations to John Oswald, who was the winner of that drawing and the grand prize…a car wash!! The teens took a full hour to “detail” every inch of John’s beautiful car, even providing him with a trash bag and a car air freshener! We thank John for being a good sport, and for his kindness last Thursday night!

Speaking of “My Own Church”, you don’t have to journey to Bethlehem on a donkey to be counted! It’s not too late to register! “My Own Church” is an online tool that lets you update your family’s records on the web! Just visit stpatrickpottsville.org, hit the “My Own Church” button on the Home Page, and create an account. If you have any questions, please contact the Parish Office.
