Silvie PaladinoThe Songs of Eva CassidyThis powerful and moving show is a celebration of one of the great voices of the 20th Century, and who better to pay tribute than Australia’s own Silvie Paladino, star of musicals in Australia and London’s West End, popular concert performer and regular on Carols by Candlelight.

Before Eva Cassidy died at the tender age of 33, she was unknown outside of Washington, USA, but within two years of her death her albums topped the charts in the UK, Europe, Australia and the rest of the world. The show features her inspired re-imaginings of such classic tunes as Over the Rainbow, Fields of Gold, Autumn Leaves, Time after Time, Ain’t No Sunshine, Bridge over Troubled Water, What a Wonderful World and, of course, Songbird.

Backed by a sensational live band, Price will transport her audience to 1960s Liverpool, taking everyone along for the ride, as she riffs ‘off the cuff’, invites the audience to join in the big numbers, and ultimately has everyone up on their feet for the show’s epic mega-mix finale dance party!

For more than 30 years Mem Fox’s children’s novel Possum Magic has captivated and enchanted young people. Grandma Poss loves making magic. One day she uses her most magical spell to make Hush invisible so that Hush won’t be in danger. Hush has lots of adventures being invisible but then there comes a time when she wants to be visible again, only Grandma Poss can’t find the spell to bring Hush back. Then Grandma Poss remembers that “it’s something to do with food. People food. Not possum food”.

In this brand-new stage adaptation of this magical Australian classic, go on an adventure around Australia to find the food that will make Hush’s dream come true!

Theirs is an uplifting program of swing music from the Big Band era, show tunes and even some great rock and roll. They have performed with international artists such as Tom Jones, Joe Cocker, Barry Manilow and more.


Toe Tapping Tuesdays 2019WaltSing AustraliaTuesday 10 SeptemberThis brand-new production is a celebration of 100 years of great Australian singers – their music and their stories. It stars two of Australia’s finest performers, musical star Philip Gould and award-winning singer/actress Michelle Fitzmaurice, renowned for their on-stage chemistry. The show begins in the year 1900, with the likes of Peter Dawson and Nellie Melba, and works its way through the decades, with special tributes to The Seekers, Helen Reddy, Johnny O’Keefe, Peter Allen, Olivia Newton John, plus many more.

Seniors ExpoTuesday 15 OctoberMaroondah City Council and Karralyka proudly supports Seniors Festival Day with free activities, including the annual Seniors Wellbeing expo from 9.30am to 2pm, a fabulous performance in the theatre (details to be announced closer to the time) and a delicious Celebration Lunch.

Ian Stenlake – The Leading ManTuesday 26 NovemberIan Stenlake’s stunning one-man show is an entertaining tribute to some of the best theatre music ever written. Accompanied on the piano by David Cameron, Ian shares some of the music from the stage shows he has starred in, such as Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, The Pyjama Game, Cabaret, and more. Enjoy such songs as Luck be a Lady, Oh What a Beautiful Morning and They’re Playing our Song.
