Tweets Account Suspension And Why Very easy Work. Hands up, everyone who has a Twitter Account! Now, put your hand down again, if you have actually used Twitter to plug your distinctive line of work. (Be honest!) Lastly, put social media statistics your hand down should you have NOT read all the principles. (Again, be honest.) Obviously this is a new hypothetical scenario but my personal guess is, if you were that will put these questions to a thousand Twitter users, by the time you had finished there would be few hands remaining. Tweets Account Suspension And Why Very easy Work.

Hands up, everyone who has a Twitter Account!

Now, put your hand down again, if you have actually used Twitter to plug your distinctive line ofwork. (Be honest!)

Lastly, put social media statistics your hand down should you have NOT read all the principles.(Again, be honest.)

Obviously this is a new hypothetical scenario but my personal guess is, if you were that will putthese questions to a thousand Twitter users, by the time you had finished there would be few handsremaining. Unfortunately, according to the guidelines of Twitter, this would mean you'd a room fullconnected with spammers.

Before we go any more I should state that i did use Twitter until a short time ago when my accountswas suspended for spamming. I opened it for being greeted with this information;

This account is currently suspended and it is being investigated due for you to strange activity. If wehave suspended your account mistakenly, please let us know. See Suspended Accounts to find outmore.

Assuming this to be an easily fixable malfunction, I looked into the item further until I came to thismessage;

Your account was suspended for cross-posting duplicate tweets across multiple accounts, a violationof our terms of service as well as the Twitter Rules that many of us take very seriously. Your accountwill remain suspended for no less than one week; you may petition intended for reinstatement on orright after August 17, 2009.

An obvious and blatant spamming tactic on my part, you may think, but the simple facts are; I onlyever acquired one account. As frustrating as this situation may be for me, personally, it is nothing incomparison to the frustrations of Twitter, itself.

I have to confess that, according to the policies of twitter (that we have now read), I was not whiterthan white when you use it. In my short time as a possible account holder I deducted that most users(those who I was interested with following, at least) were being tweeting, either from or regardingtheir work, personally posting links and pictures on their page that they presumed their followerswould be considering. I followed suit believing this to become a good use of twitter as generally, ourwork is what folks would be most enthusiastic about. If Stephen Fry, for example, were to talk aboutthe weather or the wonderful cup of tea they was drinking (being extra careful not forgetting thecompany who manufactured it) who does be interested? We want to find out about his work becausethat's what is interesting with regards to him. As for the rest individuals mortals, because our jobswill not be as interesting to the majority of as Mr. Fry, we look for people within a similar line ofdo the job to ourselves to banter along with and share information. If we are never to discuss whatwe complete, how are we to get these people?

This could prove a difficult area for Twitter to be able to police. Once you have read the rules onspamming, in particular, you realize that, if all of them were to get upheld to the notice, they wouldhave very few users left indeed.

There is talk connected with Twitter Business, a service that allows people to advertize what exactlythey do without anxiety about persecution. But will anyone take advantage of this as a social circle?More likely, people will only use it if they are searching for a specific service. So, a search engine,then, which only allows this advertiser 140 characters to go into detail what they do as a way to selltheir wares. This will leave the advertiser with just one real option; to put up links to some place elsewhere he can get into more detail about his services or products. The links would, more than likely,be to a site... Which has to beg the question; Why not cut out the middle man and just use yahoosearch instead?

This is probably concluding most people (and many spammers, for that matter) will come to once thehype dies down slightly so lets hope that it is not the way Facebook plans to monetize itself or it'sgoing to probably have plenty of disappointed paying advertisers in its hands.

So, if Twitter Business doesn seem probably be viable long term, we are left using, plain old,Twitter; a social network where people are not allowed to publicise what they do for anxiety aboutbeing suspended.

It does go with no saying that none people enjoy receiving spam understanding that Twitter has totake a step to prevent it, lest people will stop while using the service. But, if it is being trusted by itspeople, it cannot be suspending these for cross posting identical tweets across multiple companyaccounts without first checking the particular users are actually guilty with the infringement. If theycontinue to do so then the current suspension insurance policy will ultimately achieve and thesecond of its objective.

Though my Twitter account has been reinstated, I now cannot escape the opinion that trying torebuild my social networking would be, at best, humiliating and at worst, just pointless, knowing, asI do, that Twitter could close it at any moment due to circumstances which are neither my fault notwithin my control (whenever they actually exist from the start). And so it is hence, I will probably notuse my account approximately used to and would likely not have opened a new one had theauthentic not been reinstated as i (and, I suspect, my erstwhile followers) can have seen this as theadmission of guilt.

Much more importantly regarding Twitter, however; if I were a new dyed-in-the-wool spammer, doyou think the suspension of 1 account would offend so badly in respect of deter me from openingnew ones? I would imagine which a real spammer would be back abdominal muscles day after hisfirst suspension using a virulent vengeance.

In short; the wrongfully convicted may possibly never return whilst the genuine spammers willsimply increase two new heads per one that is severed.
