Supervise, plan and coordinate daily and outage maintenance/modification quality inspection activities including the development of schedules for managing the inspection function in a proactive, responsive and efficient manner.Assist in review of electrical engineering designs, specification costs and quantity estimates for capital replacement, upgrades, refurbishments and new works.7Ensure Inspection checklists and frequency of Inspections are reviewed and approved by the Technical Services Manager and a clear forward plan and programme for such Inspections is developed.8Ensure all completed Inspection checklists, reports & recommendations are issued electronically to the MCC and CAFM system for record and performance review purposes.9Ensure safe working practices including compliance with Permits to Work system & ADAC Standard Operating Procedures are implemented by FM Contractors and Subcontractors staff at all times.OperationalFacilities Engineering Inspector shall:1Oversee planning, preparation & implementation of work instructions (scheduled & unscheduled) and provide direction to the FM Contractors staff for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and the implementation of any electrical system modifications.2On a daily basis conduct field site walk Inspections to asses and analyse status of FM Contractors corrective and preventive maintenance execution activities and provide, where appropriate, recommendations for improvement.3Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable FM Contractors Contracts KPI&rsquos, ADAC procedures and regulatory requirements.4Ensure all Inspection checklists and reports for scheduled and unscheduled works (including service requests generated by MCC) are completed and issued electronically to MCC and the CAFM system for record and FM Contractor performance monitoring purposes.People ManagementFacilities Engineering Inspector shall:1Communicate effectively on an interpersonal level with FM Contractors staff and FM Line Managers & support staff.2Manage conflict positively.3Work productively with others to find solutions and reach agreement4Work with integrity and ethics to motivate and inspire others.5Listen and accept what others are saying and learn from this.6Recognise contributions of colleagues and FM Contractors and acknowledge their efforts to create a positive, harmonious, and productive team climate.Desired Candidate ProfileJOB REQUIREMENTSEDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & CERTIFICATIONSMinimum Education RequiredHigh school diploma with minimum of five years experience in equivalent inspection, test or examination activitiesMultiple Level II QC Certifications in accordance with NQA-1 (1994) (or equivalent) or the ability to become certified in multiple disciplinesHigh school diploma with minimum of five years experience related to electrical trade disciplineGood communication and computer skillsProfessional Certifications RequiredPreferred - An HNC / HND / Bachelorrsquos Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.QUALIFICATIONSYears of experienceMinimum 5 years for work experience on electrical systems installation and maintenanceMinimum 3 years airport environment experienceKeyword: Facility Inspectors - Electrical
