Step 4Repeat the same process for the exterior pocket bottom.

Step 5Next, prepare the piping. Use store-bought piping or see the instructions at the end of this tutorial to create your own. Place the piping onto the exterior pocket and secure in place with binder clips. The seam allowance should face the exterior. In order for the piping to run smoothly along the corners it might be necessary to cut perpendicularly into the seam allowance of the piping. The two ends of the piping meet at the bottom center and can be covered with a scrap piece of fabric or bias tape.
