Welcome to NinjaZone!
As the ambassador of your NinjaZone program, your knowledge and enthusiasm is key! FIRST IMPRESSIONS are EVERYTHING! Creating a positive vibe by relaying to customers all of the great qualities of the NinjaZone program will excite the kids, take some pressure off the coaches, and allow families to feel good about why they are spending their money and time to participate in your program. NinjaZone is a HUGE program, and a red hot addition to your gym!
‘Sooo…what exactly is NinjaZone?’Simply put, we are: Turning Energy into Ambition… One Awesome Kid at a Time.
NinjaZone is a thrilling new sport for kids. Kids learn transferrable core skills by fusing elements of martial arts, gymnastics, obstacle training and freestyle movement. NinjaZone leverages kids’ fire and excitement into an activity they truly love, building the strength, agility, stealth andmental prowess of a trained Ninja. The result is more confident, disciplined kids, who have a physical, mental and emotional foundation to take on any challenge. Ninja Sport is taking over the nation, and with the backing of major insurance companies, the sky is the limit for yourprogram.
‘Ok, that’s awesome, but now how do I explain it to parents?’Here’s an easy list to reference: • NinjaZone captures your child’s energy and ignites their confidence!• NinjaZone classes provide a unique way to focus their energy. • Practicing the sport of Ninja exercises the body and mind, not only bringing kids home happy and ready for bed, but also building character and cultivating discipline. • Ninja classes aren’t just a ton of fun for kids (of course they are…duh), but they also instill values and techniques that provide an important foundation for your child’s success.• By enrolling your child in the NinjaZone program, you are contributing to their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
‘How do we explain it to kids, without all the big fancy words?’ • Ninja Zone gives YOU the power.• Entering the world of Ninja will help you gain the skills and stealth of a trained Ninja! • NinjaZone give you the power to master any challenge or obstacle. • The best part is you will learn to kick, jump and flip like the characters in your favorite video games!

CURRICULUM VERSION 2.0 JANUARY 2017
Class Organization
To split classes by age, we found the following system to work:
White 1: ages 4-6White 2: ages 6-8White 3: ages 8-11
Yellow 1: ages 4-6Yellow 2: ages 6-8 ... and so on
As you start, it may be a good idea to NOT label your 1, 2, 3, level in order to maximize coaching ratios. When you do label it’s a good idea to group them together like White 2 & 3 or even White 3 & Yellow 1. This will allow you more staffing flexibility depending on enrollment.
REMEMBER!
You are presenting this package! This is new and it is EXCITING for the entire family.Feel proud that your club has been selected from MANY to run this program. Enjoy!

CURRICULUM VERSION 2.0 JANUARY 2017
ACTIVITIES Time to use• In between stations• When kids get a little restless• To end the class with a fun activity
Precision TagIn an open floor space, kids have 30 seconds to pull out as many mats as they can and spread them around the floor. Once the floor is set, one person is selected as “it” and tag begins. One person is it and the kids have to jump from mat to mat only using precision jumps. If a kid is caught jumping with one foot, they step out of the game and do 5 pushups. When the time is up, the kids have 30 seconds to put all the mats away.
Force Field GameKids pick an “enemy” and they line up on opposite sides of a line. There is a “force field” that cannot be crossed between the enemies so no one is actually hurt. Once the battle begins, the kids kick and punch at the force field with all of their power. Tip: make sure the force field is wide enough they do not accidentally kick or hit each other.
Handstand Circle*Tip: start with a small tight circle.
• Kids pick a partner: one holds the legs and the other holds the handstand.• The holding kids stand in a circle facing out to their handstand partner.• The partners kick up to handstands.• The holding partner walks around to be standing on the outside of the circle.• On the count of three, the holding partners rotate clockwise to grab the next person’s legs.• The handstand person has to hold a handstand alone for these few seconds.
How far around the circle can they make it before a handstand falls? As people fall they step out of the circle with their current partner. As they fall, the distance to run begins to get bigger.

CURRICULUM VERSION 2.0 JANUARY 2017
ACTIVITIES: CONTINUED Relay Race Ideas• Bear crawls (with straight legs to work on flexibility)• Crab walks (works on arm strength)• Wheelbarrow races• Inch worms (walk hands out to a push up position, do a push up, walk feet up to hands, repeat)• Precision jumps (180/360)• Run forward, backward, sideways• Weave in and out of cones/foam blocks• Ninja rolls• Handstand walks• Cartwheels• Hollow body, roll to superman hold, roll to hollow body, keep going
Get Everyone Across the BeamWithout touching the ground, everyone has to move across each other to get to the other side of the beam. Let them be creative.
Some possible ways across• If there is a wall close by, they may lean on the wall for balance or use another beam.• Another way is to squat down and step over each other.
Goal: to work on balance and practice team work
Any type of contest to make conditioning fun!• Wall sits• Plank holds• Box jumps (who can keep jumping without stopping or having a double jump)• Hollow body holds
Timed obstacle courses (can do variations on timing)• Individual• Whole Group• Two Team
