The TURK is a two wheel multipurpose collapsiblerescue kart that offers various functions for first

responders when dealing with Rescue, RapidIntervention, Hazardous Material, and Mass CasualtyIncidents. Its adaptability to situations where manpoweris limited and speed is crucial such as a combat

operation is ideal. The TURK can be kept in a foldedposition stored in a compartment or mounted on the

exterior of the apparatus.

The TURK cradle system can facilitate thetransportation of a Stokes Basket, both metal or

plastic, loaded with firefighting tools and equipmentused by Rapid Intervention Teams or HazardousMaterial Teams. It can transport civilian persons or

equipment laden firefighters either in fire gear or levelA hazardous material suit. The tire width and groundclearance of the TURK allows the device to navigatebetween the running rails and over stone ballast of

the Transit System. The cradle system of the TURK

can also accommodate ground ladders including thecumbersome 45 pole ladder. An added feature of the

TURK allows for backboards 18 to 20 to be securedto the device and wheeled to desired location. TheTURK also offers the simple function as a hand truck.The simplicity of the TURK is its best attribute which

allows rescuers to develop their own uses of the TURKas it applies to the situation.
