TURKEY VULTURE TREE Albuquerque dentistThis morning, my son Rob, my son-in-law John, and I came upon a tree full of Turkey Vultures. Not a pretty bird, but impressive. Turkey vultures are slow to get moving in the cold weather. They like to have warm weather with thermals to give them lift to aid in their take-off. After sitting in a tree during the night, they also pick up dew on their wings, which also hinders their take-off. You can see several of the vultures sunning their wings to get rid of the moisture.
