Enjoy a one-week tour of Tunisia’s main highlights with a private English speaking guide, a private driver and a 4x4 vehicle including a night in a Bedouin camp in the Sahara desert (possibility to stay at a hotel as well). Then relax for 6 nights in a seaside 4* resort in Port El Kantaoui. A perfect combination of discovery, adventure and relaxation.

ITINERARY DAY 1 TUNIS Arrival at Tunis airport and transfer to your hotel in Tunis. Today, visit the National Museum of Bardo. (D) Accommodation: Tunis for 1 night DAY 2 TUNIS - CARTHAGE - SIDI BOU SAID - KAIROUAN (approx. 155 km) Departure to Carthage and visit of the Antonin thermal baths. Continue to Sidi Bou Said. Leisurely stroll in this picturesque town. Later proceed to Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, and explore its medina, the souks. Departure for Kairouan. (B/L/D) Accommodation: Kairouan for 1 night DAY 3 KAIROUAN - SBEITLA - GAFSA - TOZEUR (approx. 300 km) Visit the holy city of Tunisia including the Grand Mosque. Admire the pond of Aghablides, a 7th century relic, as well as the city’s souks. Continue on to Sbeitla to visit the imposing ruins and temples. Proceed to Gafsa and visit the city centre and then we head to Tozer for the night. (B/L/D) Accommodation: Tozeur for 2 nights DAY 4 TOZEUR - TAMERZA - CHEBIKA - MIDES – ONG DJEMAL - TOZEUR (approx. 200 km) Full day to discover the Mountain Oasis of Mides, Tamerza and Chebika, where you will be surprised to find small villages, canyons and waterfalls in the middle of the desert. We will also visit Onk Jemel, the famous Star War set before we make our way back to Tozeur, the city known as the “Door of the Desert”. (B/L/D) DAY 5 TOZEUR - CHOTT EL JERID - DOUZ - KSAR GHILANE /SAHARA (approx. 280 km) Today we cross the Chott El Jerid, the immaculate white salt desert where mirages are not uncommon. Continue on to Douz where you will make a stop at the sand dunes of the Sahara desert for an optional camel ride ($).Tonight, we have the opportunity to stay in a charming accommodation, a Berber Camp for a night under the tent. (B/L/D) Accommodation: Sahara for 1 night DAY 6 KSAR GHILANE - MATMATA - CHENINI - TATAOUINE (approx. 300 km) This morning we will visit the troglodyte’s houses, built in the rock like holes in the desert. We then continue through Chenini and on to Tataouine, one of the most scenic cities in the South East. (B/L/D) Accommodation: Tataouine for 1 night DAY 7 TATATOUINE • GABES • SFAX (approx. 260 km) Today we visit Gabes renowned for its spice Market and Sfax, Tunisia’s second largest city. (B/L/D) Accommodation: Sfax for 1 night DAY 8 SFAX – EL JEM – MONASTIR – PORT EL KANTAOUI OR HAMMAMET (approx. 150 to 200 km) This morning, we stop at El Jem for a visit to the ancient Roman Coliseum. We then continue to your chosen hotel in Port El Kantaoui, Sousse or Yasmine-Hammamet for your beach stay. (B/L/D) Accommodation at the hotel of your choice: for the next 6 nights
