NEW DELHI, Nov 11:

The Army may take up theissue of a photograph of ArmyChief Gen Bikram Singh used on aBJP poll poster in Madhya Pradeshwith the Election Commission.

The photograph showed GenSingh saluting martyrs in Jammu.

The Army is thinking of tak-ing up the issue with the ElectionCommission through proper chan-nel, Army sources said here.

They, however, said a finaldecision in this regard would be

taken at a higher level in the ArmyHeadquarters as it involves twomajor national political parties.

The Congress had yesterdaysought derecognition of BJP in thewake of “provocative” advertise-ment issued by it in poll-boundMadhya Pradesh, where thenational flag and the photo of theArmy Chief were “misused”.(PTI)
