Grant Opportunity History• Approached by DOL regarding “Career
Pathways Technical Assistance Initiative”
• Purpose: support the development of comprehensive career pathway programs for adult and dislocated workers in local areas
• 10 national grantees; TIC & GRIC are considered one grantee (split grant award for 2 Native teams).

• New approach to adult education & training that increases program completion and credential attainment
• Is easier for (working) adults to access education & training programs by combining them with adult basic education
