A COPPER CHRISTMAS!This year, Yorkshire displayed a Christmas tree with adifference: it was made out of copper plumbing tube!

It all started in 2005, when local companies in the Isleof Man took part in a charity competition to raise moneyfor Save The Children. The challenge was to createimaginative festive trees.

An eye-catching intricate copper tree was created bythe staff and customers of plumbers’ merchant, Cu-PlasCallow, with tube donated by Yorkshire. The tree wasoriginally displayed in Ronaldsway Airport, and was votedBest in Festival – helping raise £8,000 for the charity.

“A copper tree clearly demonstrates theversatility and aesthetic qualities of Yorkshirecopper tube, even when it is used for moreunusual purposes!”
