ON THE COVER FEATURE! RECKLESS ATTITUDE! Super heavy Northampton band NARCISSISTIC EXISTENCE are here to dominate with heavy riffs and simply insane bass. Prepare yourself. As I arrive at the bands sunday afternoon practice at Big Noise, Northampton with the bassist Steven Raison, I finally get to meet the rest of the band members. They appear to already be completely envolved in the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle with various stages of hangovers, and some even still a bit wasted. Phil Walker, vocalist carries a bag of beers to drink during practice...typical. The other band members are lounging around in the waiting area, fully in deep discusion about what their upcoming practice will consist of. Clearly the hangovers aren’t a problem with these guys. I ask Steven how he thought of the band, for him to turn round and simply say “I dunno man” as he flicks his hair, “We’re just...we’re just boring a**-people man.” Talking to the band a little more, I then asked how they all met...some pretty insane. “Me and Steven met at a DevilDriver concert!” Phil laughed out. “Yeah, where I PUNCHED YOU IN THE FACE!” Steven jumped and pointed at Phil. Liam Wilkinson and Jamie Wikinsonare brothers, whereas the other band members met through friends and the other members. Shane Thomas is the most recent member of the band with his kick-a** screams The main influences of this band are artists such as Lamb Of God, Metallica and Slipknot, which are all heavy as hell!! They plan to just generally go with the flow since they seem to be gaining fans quickly with barely making any effort and generally making absolutely awesome music. “Yeah, we’re pretty happy that we have so many fans already, we plan to tour the whole of England soon since we’ve had quite a few requests.” Says Micheal “Smike” Hashim, lead guitarist.
