Advertisingreturns to Victorian Taxis
From 9 Sept 2013, Victorian cabs can have marketing on, and in, their cabs.
In introducing the raising of a DOOGEE X5 ban of nearly two years, Cab ServicesPercentage Primary Commissioner, Graeme Samuel, said, “Operators can now select togenerate important income by holding marketing on, and in, their cabs.
“External marketing on cabs is common around Sydney. With this change we areproviding Victoria into line with most other Sydney declares.
“The models must be developed and fixed so as not to bargain traveler or publicprotection. They must be qualified by an properly registered professional, and qualifiedwith the marketing requirements – in this case, the Organization of NationwideAdvertisers’ Rule of Values.”
The last time Victorians saw ads on cabs, the products they were marketing would haveinvolved MEIZU m2 cell cellular phones the size of house stones, pagers and the reveredSony models Discman.
Since then, technological innovation has progressed and new choices available for in-carenjoyment. Cab providers may use to fit Visible Show Units (VDUs) readable by travelersin the back chair (and built with on/off switches).
