Advantage of Laos as Factory Location

Much improved transportation to be expected by means of East-West Corridor.

Competitive labor cost with labor force still sufficiently available, in spite of its small population (about 6 million) as Laos being not yet industrially developed.

Japan has a very good diplomatic relationship with Laos (also the top ODA donor to Laos). Laotians and Japanese people are pretty similar in looks, perhaps sharing the same ancestors, so seem easy to make friends with each others.

Thai can be a Manager through communication in Thai language with Laotians.

Abundant hydro-electric power.（Laos is exporting electricity to Thailand and Vietnam, and electricity fee is as half as of its’ Thailand.)

New power generation business by use of TSB’s floating solar power technology which utilizing surplus ponds in Vientiane city with taking advantage of JCM agreement between Japan & Laos. Besides obtain new floating solar power, solar generating will

secure electric power in dry season. Utilizing surplus ponds make power grid short within Vientiane

city. Japan can obtain CO2 reduction effect. To apply this system would make a significant contribution for the

development of enterprises in Lao and Japan in the future.
