Ask a family member or a friend to suggest somes excuses children may use for not wearinga helmet or protective gear when riding a bicycle scooter or skateboard

Record their response on some paper or on a Google Doc.

Now, reflect on your own thoughts about wearing a helmet orprotective gear when riding a bike, scooter or skateboard.

Then, follow the instructions in Seesaw - Exploring Art Styles to create your own artwork.There are lots of ways to create your own artwork, including:

- Acrylic paint- Watercolour- Pastels or crayons- Coloured pencils- Graphite pencils- Textas- Digitally - using an app such as Sketchbook, Ibis Paint or Seesaw- Collage using paper, fabric or objects

Middle Mathematics - Balancing Equations

Learning Intention: We are learning to balance equations in multiplication and divisionproblems.

Warm up: Set a timer for five minutes. See how many times you can write out your 7 and8 times tables before the timer goes off. Can you complete it more than once? Set asecond 5 minute timer and have another go. Did you improve on your score?

Balancing EquationsOpen for the start of today’s lesson. Remember to click on the yellowLesson 2speaker button on the slide for an explanation of the content and what you need to do!

Then, log in to Seesaw and complete the worksheet assigned by your teacher. Makesure you submit your work when you are finished.

Travel with Backpack Bear as he makes hisway around the country!

Log into your Stage 3 Library GoogleClassroom to complete weekly researchquizzes. Questions will be based on Australianfacts about its history, geography and people.Points are awarded for correct answers, which will give Backpack Bear passage aroundthe map. You track his progress! He will need 240 points to complete the whole journey,so answer carefully! The questions will be released each Monday in the GoogleClassroom and will include the answers to the previous week for you to check your work.You will have until the following Monday to turn them in, so feel free to work on thisduring the weekend – maybe get your family involved and work together as a team!

STEAM - Design a Trampoline!Using materials you have at home or can access at school,design a trampoline that can bounce a small object (such as amarble) after it is dropped from 30cm high. Your challenge is todesign a trampoline that will bounce the marble the highest.In your design process, you must:

- Consider what will be most effective to bounce the marble- Draw and label your design- Write a list of materials you need

You will have time to build your trampoline on Friday!
