Are end trusses standard, dropped, or vaulted?

Are all dimensions of vaults, trays, or pans noted on plan? Vaults can add an average of 5-10% to the cost of the trusses.

Are dormers on plan structural or cosmetic?

Dormers require girder trusses on each side. 4-6’ dormers add an average of 5% to the cost, 8-10’ dor-mers add an average of 10%. 12’ or wider need special pricing.

Tray/pan ceilings can add an average10-30% to the cost of the trusses in the tray/pan area. Increase depends on tray/pan height and distance from walls.

Hip-blocking frames cost approx. $2.47 per lineal foot of hip span. EX: Hip-blocking frame for a 26’ hip set would cost $64.13. Adds 2.5-5% cost of hipset.
