From The Principal: Cross Country Carnival

Last week we held our annual Cross Country Carnival at Blenheim Park. This was a wonderful event at

such a lovely venue within walking distance for our students. The enthusiastic participation of students

was a pleasure to watch and the cheers from the sidelines encouraged runners to get to the finish line.

A big thank you to the staff for organising the event and supervising on the day.

Movie Night

Last Friday night I had the pleasure of seeing this wonderful P&C event take place at school. The weather

let us down and the event needed to be moved to the school hall which did not dampen the spirits of

those families who attended. The smell of freshly made popcorn, the opportunity to buy homemade food

and watch a wonderful family film all came together to create a great atmosphere on the night.

A big thank you to the P&C for organising such a unique school event.

Parent/Teacher Meetings

The Parent/Teacher meetings are currently underway and it has been pleasing to see the number of

parents who have booked in to meet with their child’s teachers. A reminder that the purpose of the

Parent/Teacher meeting is to provide you with a brief summary of your child’s progress in Term 1 and

give you an opportunity to pass on any relevant information that may assist the teacher with your child’s

development in 2019.

Anne Barltrop

Principal

From The Office Book Club orders must be completed through Scholastic by Wednesday 15 May.

Please return Years 3&4 History Excursion to The Rocks permission and payment $25 ASAP.

Movie Night

Friday evening saw another successful Truscott St community event at our annual movie night. Whilst

the weather wasn’t in our favour this year the hall still proved to be a fun place to meet up with friends

and watch a movie. Thank you to everyone who helped make the night run smoothly. Special mention to

Loretta, Sam and Jasna who supplied families with dinner from the canteen.
