The truKitchen Team

Our WILMSLOW KItchEn ShOWrOOM

This sophisticated characterful kitchen was tailored to meet the demands of a modern day family, and designed to be in keeping with the style and age of a Victorian cottage in Wilmslow.

This minimalist kitchen, with a unified design that utilises every inch of existing space, is multifunctional and practical for family use.

Keen to have a kitchen which the family could grow into, it was essential this design was versatile in use. Ensuring a large storage capacity and preparation space, making a space that could be used for years to come.

Moving away from a conventional kitchen our design team incorporated an upholstered bench seating area with a stand alone dining table to be used by the kids for homework as well as for formal dinner parties. Continuity in the design and colour scheme allowed the kitchen and dining space to complement the open plan living space.

Our new extended

showroom launch

We are delighted to annouce that our extended showroom on Alderley road, Wilmslow will be opening this September and you are warmly invited to attend. With the new range of high quality bespoke kitchens manufactured by rempp and the latest products and appliances this year. Do not forget to rSVP and put it in your diary.

The truKitchen team focused on maximising the use of space, incorporating deeper worktops at 750mm, with extra deep drawers and cupboards.

The Ceaser stone worktops in Buttermilk, are teamed with stylish Chocolate Oak Laminate doors, part of the Lech range by Rempp. This subtle colour scheme was highlighted by the vibrant orange glass splash back.

The end result provided a high-spec, unique, bespoke kitchen which showcases this family’s individuality, and a practical long-term kitchen solution.

An enthusiastic cook and the needs of a family meant this kitchen required crisp clean lines with plenty of storage.

Bright ideas for your kitchenin collaboration with..

The experts at The LightHaus showroom worked in collaboration with truKitchen, to offer top tips and lighting solutions for your kitchen.

Modern lifestyles mean the kitchen is frequently the most actively used space within the home, the heart and hub of family gatherings and social activities. Of course the right lighting is essential for food preparation, but don’t forget that careful lighting can also create atmosphere and allow you to be creative, stylish and bold in the kitchen. A flick of a switch can change your space effortlessly and instantly.

here are a few tips to help you create that special dinner atmosphere, as well as perfect everyday working light.

tASK LIGhtInG Every kitchen needs efficient lighting to meet functional needs. This directly applies to food preparation and cooking, where visibility is key. Here, recessed or under-recessed lighting or extractor hood lights are perfect. Recessed lights can be straight down, or angled direct to a wall. They wash walls with light, so do not give a direct source of light, and do not distract. We recommend warm white fluorescents or strip light of high output LED as cost-effective solution.

thE FunDAMEntALS Highlight favourite areas of your kitchen and zone areas of activity. It then becomes easier to identify areas for particular lighting options. Particularly important when dining in the kitchen. Areas of preparation need higher levels of light (lumen levels). A professional kitchen requires a minimum of 500lux - so why compromise in your own kitchen? A warm white 3000 Kelvin (colour temperature) works nicely for this purpose.

AMBIEnt LIGhtInG invites you into the kitchen, illuminating the overall space. It comes in a range of colours to suit your mood, though a warm white is often best fit for this purpose. To enhance the effect, and add focus, consider plinth or low level lights to frame and highlight, giving a perfect backdrop to any contemporary interior space.

FEAturE LIGhtInG is an expression of individual taste, so be as daring as you want to be. There is a vast range of choice of material, colour, shape and size. Focus on you and your kitchen, what does it say about you, and your lifestyle? Individual lighting pendants, placed over an island counter or dining table, add impact and visual interest.

Signed, sealed and deliveredhOME VISIt. At the home visit, your truKitchen designer will assess and measure your existing space. This site visit allows the designer to accurately measure the room and get a feel for the space, taking in details such as natural light and architectural features.
