Also as from 7th November to 30th November our grade 12 ( form four ) they will be sitting for their final exams.They are well promising girls Hellen Jaenda and Purity Agiso consider them in prayers.This is the exam that will lead them in the university or college. Thank you for your contribution for as to pay their school fees/ levies, personal effects ,we are proud for you and may God bless you as you continue supporting this programm in making sure they have something on the table to eat. Challenging Faith TRUCC’s weekly Bible Discussion group meets Sunday afternoons from 1:00-2:30pm Throughout the month of September we embarked on a HOLY ADVENTURE as we explored the Bible’s stories about spiritual risk-taking and co-creating with God. In October, we began lively and thoughtful conversations about Hebrew prophecy in the Old Testament, and the ways that we can use ancient wisdom to offer hope in an anxious world. In case you haven’t heard, the UCC’s General Synod meeting for June 2017 is going to be held in nearby Baltimore, MD! This presents a unique opportunity to see how the UCC works and worships when members from across the whole USA (and some other places, too) gather for this celebration of all things UCC. In prep-aration for this event, we will be dedicating occasional sessions of Challenging Faith to discussions of UCC his-tory, ecclesiology (the way we “do church”), and polity (the way things are run in the denomination). I will announce these sessions in advance as planning develops throughout the coming year. Some of our regular participants have said that this is, “the best Bible study that Trinity has ever had.” Come check out what the buzz is all about. Expect to see scripture in a whole new way! If you wish to participate see the schedule below for meeting dates.

Note that there are a few Sundays this fall when other events in the wider church will prevent us from meeting on Sunday afternoons; also note that there are “A Beginner’s Guide to the UCC sessions” included in this schedule. Those of you who are interested in joining TRUCC as official members are strongly encouraged to attend the “Beginner’s Guide” sessions (which are listed in BOLD font). The Guild will be holding another RADA Cutlery sale from Sept.25th thru Nov. 6th. Now is the time to order your cutlery, book, stoneware, dip and mix selections for the holidays. Orders normally take a few weeks for delivery, so you will have your orders by Thanksgiving. Catalogs are available in the Narthex, and please give your order along with check or money to Helen Yohe.

The Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Christmas Candy Fundraiser catalogs are available in the Nar-thex by the display. Pick-up a catalog to place your order(s). Details and information guide sheets are provided. This is a great fundraiser for Trinity and the Gertrude Hawk Chocolate varieties make Christmas gift-giving special.

Guild Rummage Sale—November 4 (Friday) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. an from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and November 5 (Saturday) from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the Fellowship Hall. Trin-ity will have the rummage sale by donation, instead of charging a set price per item. Frozen homemade soups are available at $5.00 per quart and $3.00 per pint. Spread the word. Your do-nations of fall and winter clothing and gently used items are appreciated. No furniture accepted. Lancaster County Fossil and Mineral Club Showcase is on November 12th from

9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Members will be showcasing fossils, gems and minerals that

they have collected over the years, some from right here in Lan-

caster County. There will be items for sale. The club is asking for a $2.00 donation. Children

under 12 are free. All proceeds will go to the club’s general fund. The Guild will once again

be providing soup and snacks throughout the day.

FALL RUMMAGE SALE

The Guild is having their Fall Rummage Sale. The dates are Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 . We need volunteers help set up on Wednesday, November 2nd. Please see the display flyer and sign-up sheet posted in the Narthex, for times and more information. ALL ARE WELCOME. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE GUILD TO ATTEND!

NOVEMBER GUILD MEETING

The November Guild meeting is Tuesday, November 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We are planning a fun-filled evening with the Mueller twins. The twins never disappoint us with their entertaining activities. In time for the holiday, the Mueller twins will show us how to make Christmas napkin rings for the holidays. Please bring scis-sors to use for your project. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BRING A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER ALONG FOR THE FUN!

FOOD SALE FUNDRAISER

Another November Guild fundraiser is our food sale for The Lancaster Fossil & Mineral Club Showcase at Trini-ty. This event was successful last year. With your help, we look forward to having another great sale. The date is Saturday, November 12th. from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are volunteer sign-up sheets and requests for dona-tions of food sale items.

The Guild is raising funds with The Christmas Brochure Program. The cutoff date is November 25th. Catalogs and or-der forms are in the Narthex. Any questions please ask Mary Ibach!

DECEMBER GUILD MEETING

The December Guild meeting is our Annual Christmas Party. Mark the date of Tuesday, December 6th at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Please note the early start time of 6:00 p.m. We have a lot planned in addition to the $5.00 gift exchange. For your entertainment, we will feature "Peggy Keller." JANUARY GUILD MEETING

We are starting the New Year off right with a Guild Business Meeting. Please join us on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We need and welcome your ideas and help. The year 2016 was a good one for the Guild. With your help, we can make the year 2017 even better.

Soup, we have a variety of soup. Soup is a welcome meal in the cold weather. Stop after Sunday morning worship and purchase the best soup in town for lunch.

INVITATION TO DONATE TO THE COLUMBIA

FOOD BANK

If each adult member could contribute one or

two non-perishable food items each month, we could help the

Food Bank a great deal all year. Food is distributed to the

needy on Tuesday and Wednesday each week. All food dona-

tions can be placed in the baskets. There is a bucket located in

the narthex for cash donations. Cash donations are used to

purchase much needed dairy and perishable products. Please

place all monetary donations in the marked bucket in the Nar-

thex. Donations can be made in cash or by check. Please make

checks out to the Columbia Food Bank. Along with many bas-

kets of dry goods $121 was donated in the month of October.
