ABOUT HOUSE OF HOPE RHODE ISLAND
Dana Altland and Jane Stach are the co-founders of House of Hope Rhode Island, an affiliate of National House of Hope in Orlando, FL. They first heard about House of Hope in 1998, when Sara Trollinger, the founder, came to speak at a Women of Faith Conference in Hartford, CT along with a teen from the program, who gave a powerful testimony.
Sara, a former schoolteacher, was led by the Lord to establish a faith-based ministry called House of Hope of Orlando 25 years ago. This ministry consists of a residential program where hurting, troubled teens can learn to accept responsibility, submit to authority, get along with peers and adults and most importantly come to a saving knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

“A war is raging for the hearts and souls of our youth. The casualties are real. America’s future depends on rescuing her teenagers. There is no better, more successful or needed ministry for America’s teens than House of Hope. With Christ as the center of this ministry, the name says it all. This ministry is truly a House of Hope for hurting teens and families.”

“The philosophy and example of the House of Hope, which receives no government funds, needs to be shared across our nation. Those who want to help disturbed teenagers should be able to know that there is a way…and that way works. I challenge citizens in major cities in every state to look to House of Hope as a model for similar homes for hurting teenagers across the nation.”

“The recipe that has made House of Hope such a success is no secret…it is simply equal parts love and faith. On their own, both are powerful antidotes for pain. Mixed together, they offer an unmatched power to cure. At House of Hope, faith and love are healing lives and bringing families back together.”
