State Conference at ThodupuzhaIMA State conference was held at Thodupuzha on 9th and 10th Nov 2019. More than 50 doctors

from Trivandrum branch attended the conference. Dr Anupama received the best branch Presi-dent of a local branch 2019 at IMA fest Thodupuzha. Trivandrum IMA receives 17 awards for the best work of the last year 2018-2019. WIMA Trivandrum received the second best WIMA branch at IMA state conference, Thodupuzha.

CEA Rules handed over to Health Secretary

The CEA Rules on Categorisation and Mini-mum Standards, submitted to Principal Health Secretary, Sri Rajan Khobragade on 12.11.19. He has agreed to look into any grievances of Doctors especially Private Sectors and small Clinics & Hos-pitals. Seen are Princi. Dear members,Let me express my wholehearted gratitude to all the members

of a IMA thiruvananthapuram branch for electing me as the branch president for the year 2019 -2020. We have a wonderful team of office bearers this year.

In the IMA state meet held at thodupuzha, there were hectic discussions on NMC bill, CE Act and so many professional issues. Dr. Abraham varghese elected as IMA State president and Dr. Gopikumar IMA state secretary.

We observed world diabetes day by a series of camps in every nook and corner of TVM district. TVM IMA along diabetic care center conducted awareness classes, medical check up and distribution of book based on control of diabetes with good food published by past state President Dr. Sreejith. N. Kumar.

TVM chapter of CGP was inaugurated by Dr. Vinay Ranjan on November 28 th followed by discussion on common viral infections. Different hospitals of TVM IMA managing huge IMA pavilion at Ananthapuri fest organized by Manorema .

With the support of each one of you, I believe our new team can do wonders. Wishing a very happy Christmas and New year.

Dear members, New office bearers have been installed on 21st November 2019.I

sincerely thank all our members who have kept faith in the same team for one more consecutive term.

IMA TVM CGP activities for 2019-20 was inaugurated by Dr Vinay Ranjan, Director of studies, CGP, IMA KSB.We are planning to have regular cme programmes in CGP &AMS banner in our branch hall.As our Branch President said 'its the time to reinforce the academic interest of the members and IMA Trivandrum branch will play a major role in this aspect'.

IMA Trivandrum Pavilion at Ananthapuri Fest organised by Malayala Manorama was inaugurated on 30th November 2019 by Dr N Sulphi, our South zone Vice President. It is one of the largest consumer fest in the capital city. Through IMA Pavilion we could interact with the public and give health awareness regarding various topics.

Working fund campaign is going on till end of December 2019.Members may receive call regarding status of working fund from our branch office.Executive commitee has decided to collect working fund of Rs 500/- from our members.Unfortunately many of our members are unaware of our working fund which has been kept very low compared to other IMA branches. On behalf of Branch President and Executive commitee, I request all our members to kindly update the working fund status.

One more glorious year is going to end and another glorious year is going to start. In this juncture, lets be united for the profession, lets hold our hands together for the profession. Lets come together to our common platform called IMA Trivandrum, one of the largest branch in India. As one of the office bearer, I can assure you that IMA Trivandrum will always be there with her members whether in their happiness or sorrow.

Our General body, Christmas &New year celebrations are on 30th December 2019 at IMA HQ, Anayara. I welcome all members with family to enjoy cultural activities and sumptous dinner.

Ananthapuri Fest – 2019 @ Putharikandam Maithanam

Ananthapuri Fest 2019 commenced on 30th November 2019 till 8th December 2019. As usual IMA Trivandrum is having a PAVILION inside the festive area at Putharikandam Maid-hanam.

Dr Sulphi, Past State Secretary inaugurated the pavilion. Dr Anupama, Dr Sreejith R, Dr Chacko Ramacha, Dr Siby Kurian, Dr Sabari-nath were present. IMA Tvm in association with

esteemed hospitals will be showcasing health related awareness aspects and health Check-ups for the public. Topics related to health is-sues will be displayed by LED TV.

Ananthapuri Fest is one of the largest and most popular exhibition in the capital city by Malayala Manorama. There will be dedicated columns showcasing daily activities of IMA PA-VILION

World Diabetes Day @Bhagya Mala AuditoriumWorld diabetes day observed by IMA Trivandrum in association with Diabetes care centre at

Bhagyamala Auditorium Chandrashekharan Nair Stadium Trivandrum on 14th Nov 2019. The Pub-lic programme was inaugurated by Shri Rishiraj Sigh IPS, Transport commissioner Trivandrum. In due course Dr Sreejith N Kumar MD, Diabetic Care Centre took awareness class about diabetes. The transport commissioner released the first copy book about diabetes published by Dr Sreejith N Kumar on that occasion.


In addition IMA Trivandrum has conducted free Diabetes camp at 15 spots inside Trivandrum City in connection with World Diabetes Day. Around 300 more patients were benefited from the camp. The Camp was inaugurated by Dr K Jayaram, Past National President at IMA Trivandrum branch office premises.
