The warmth of specifically chosen wood species used in different applications give this home a unique presence. Reclaimed oak timber beams with oak planking between are highlighted in both

the kitchen ceiling and vaulted family room ceiling. Slightly distressed cherry cabinets with a glazed finish contrast the enameled trim work throughout most of the home. Quarter sawn oak cabinetry

in the family room works in harmony with the uniquely patterned oak floor. Reclaimed pine molding is fixed on the foyer ceiling framing a stenciled work of art. This home has many elements

of design and many architectural features that create one incredible experience.

The millwork is enameled to allow the wall colors to give character to

the space. The wide oak plank wood floors, slightly stained give a warm foundation to every room.

This cottage style home is currently on the Parade of Homes tour. It was designed specifically to take advantage of the views of Minnehaha Creek located at the rear of the property. The property is in a transitioning neighborhood and the challange was to design a home that fits with the surrounding residences in the neighborhood. Scale and style were very important on the exterior as well as the interior. There is an abundance of millwork and detail throughout the entire home. Every room

has exceptional finishes and the entire home is a wonderful experience.
