The Connecting Dunbar project was funded by the Scottish Governmentʼs Climate Challenge Fund from Jan 2010 to Mar 2011 to work out how local people travel, where they go, and
start enabling them to make more sustainable travel choices.
The information shown has been gathered from the household surveys carried out in 2010. As a rough guide, these results are about 10% of the car trips taking place each day.
Looking at car trips which could transfer to more sustainable modes such as train or bus:-
• Over 1000 car trips each day are made between Dunbar, East Linton, Haddington and North Berwick, all areas connected by regular bus services.
