ESTATE RULES AND REGULATIONSPlease read thoroughly, sign below, and fax back to 828-225-1396.

Lead Teacher and the Principal:In keeping with George W. Vanderbilt’s vision and in Biltmore grand tradition to “Preserve the Enchantment,” it is the goal of our education program to provide an extraordinary student experience that also enhances the classroom curriculum. The Rules and Regulations set out by Biltmore help makethat experience a good one for all our guests. As it is our pleasure to welcome your students as our guests, we ask that you please remind your studentsto respect the property and the legacy of Biltmore. • Please be aware that any student who is asked to leave a visit due to disruptive or destructive behavior will be sent to our security offices until the

rest of the class is finished OR may result in the entire class being asked to leave the estate. Additionally, the school may be asked not to return.

Lead Teacher:• Reservations must be PAID IN FULL 7 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED VISIT.• You will receive one complimentary chaperone ticket per ten paid student tickets.• You will need to be divided into groups of no more than 23 people per group. Each group should consist of at least 2 chaperones. Please be ready

and have students divided and assigned to groups prior to arrival. For example, if you have 26 total people you will divide into two groups of 13,with 2 chaperones per group, and you will have 2 Biltmore House hosts assigned to you. If you have 44 total people you will divide into two groups of 22 with 2 chaperones per group. For questions, please contact a Group Sales Host.

• It is very important that you arrive on time and stay on schedule. We schedule our school hosts according to your booked reservation time. Groups arriving more than 15 minutes late may receive an abbreviated guided tour. Guides may be released completely if you are 30 minutes late and your group will then be self-guided.

• If you are running behind schedule on the day of your visit, please call 828-225-1401 and notify the Group Sales Check-in Desk. • We will fax a reminder for your final group numbers 10–15 business days prior to your visit. Your final numbers and payment are due 7

business days prior to your visit. You may call 866-851-4661 or fax them to 828-225-1396. Have numbers ready for students, chaperones, drivers, parents/adults.

• Any parent or adult who plans on joining the guided student tour must be included in the school’s reservation at least 14 days in advance. Any additions up to the final numbers date are subject to availability.

• The number of parents or adults may not be increased once final numbers are given. Any parent or adult not counted in the school reservation and showing up day of visit will be charged full price and will be self-guided. They will respectfully be asked not to tag along behind the school group.

Chaperones and Adults:• Chaperones are required to stay with the students at all times and in all areas of the estate, including gift shops, gardens, and Antler Hill Village.• Due to some limited areas at the Farm, only chaperones will be allowed to join students. Parents and adults may visit Antler Hill Village and Barn.• The role of the chaperones and adults is to monitor student behavior to ensure that they are well behaved and respectful of all Biltmore property,

including the house, gardens, farm and animals.• Chaperone tickets cannot be upgraded to a Biltmore Annual Pass. Adult tickets may be upgraded.• Parents and adults are asked to please stay behind the group while on guided house visit so all students will be able to hear their guide. Please allow

students to ask and answer questions.

Biltmore Annual Passholders • As with most special guided tours or events offered on the estate, there is an additional cost for Biltmore Annual Passholders. Passholders

accompanying a student will be charged $15. Please let the lead teacher know if you are a Passholder. You will need to show your Pass upon arrival.

For Students• Dress comfortably and appropriately for the season and weather. You will be outside.• Comfortable shoes are highly recommended as you will be walking a lot.
