trip for younger students
TRANSCRIPT
On Thursday 6th June we prepared a trip to two nice places in our region. They are on the list of our National Cultural Monuments. Thirty-nine younger students and four teachers had a chance to see some treasures of our region – castle in Libochovice and the mountain Říp.
Do you want to know more?Let‘s go on a treasure hunt with us.
Our visit of the castle is almost finished, but you can see some more photos here. And now we are leaving Libochovice and going to the mountain Říp.
As you can see, the mountain Říp is not so high. Its height is only 456 metres above sea level, but it is very important for Czechs. According to a Czech tale, it is the mountain where our ancestor forefather Čech (Czech) came and decided that his people will live in this region.
And here we are on the top. You can see Rotunda sv. Jiří (Rotunda of Saint George) built in 1126 behind us.
